ROSARY REST
To Jesus Through Mary
Welcome to Rosary Rest.
We are not rosary experts by any means, but have found within the past 10 years the Joy, Peace, and Love of God experienced through praying the rosary.
This prayer is not just for your grandmother.
This is for children, men and women alike! The rosary is said to be like a photo album that the Blessed Virgin Mary presents to us about the life of her Son Jesus (To Jesus through Mary).
You will find some ideas and tips on how to pray the Holy Rosary and the Divine Mercy Chaplet within this section.
We will be updating content ongoing.

rosary basics
There are five decades within the rosary. Each day there is a different mystery to be prayed. The events within each mystery are from the life of Jesus. As you pray each decade, Mary invites you to be with her Son at that very moment. Mysteries to be prayed:

rosary group
We started a rosary group about 10 years ago and it is thriving. Praying the rosary in a group setting is fulfilling.
Here is how to start!
You can host on-line (webinar/zoom/call-in) or you can have it in person. We have a combination of both to offer.
Invite friends and family members. They also can invite friends and family members.
Provide the dates and times you will meet monthly, where and when via email to the group.
Host the session, provide the rosary pamphlets to the participants.
You can scan it in and share your screen on the online rosary group.
Pick up a bottle of holy water from your local church and before you start, make the sign of the cross with the holy water.
** No commitment is necessary from the group, they can drop in at any time.
We have met at the homes of the participants and also outside at beautiful gardens or outside churches as they also have many statues, walking paths, and gardens as well.
The Divine Mercy Chaplet
The history of the Chaplet of the Divine Mercy can be found on www.divinemercy.org
In 1935, St. Faustina Kowalska had apparitions of Jesus which inspired the Catholic devotion to the Divine Mercy. The Lord made it clear that the Chaplet was not just for her, but for the whole world.
It is prayed with normal rosary beads. It may be said at any time, but our Lord specifically told St. Faustina to recite it during the nine days before the Feast of Mercy (the first Sunday after Easter). He then added: “By this Novena, of Chaplets, I will grant every possible grace to souls, (Diary of St. Faustina 796).
The Lord also stated “whoever will recite it will receive great mercy at the hour of death (Diary St. Faustina 1541).
Jesus said “When they say this Chaplet in the presence of the dying, I will stand between My Father and the dying person, not as the just Judge but as a Merciful Savior (Diary St. Faustina 1541).
